March FPP Reveal Day!!

When I opened the box this is what I saw and my heart was already happy!

Lets start with the awesome chocolate!!! Finding chocolate for this girl that is not processed or super bad for you is always a challenge.  This is a new item to me and I really enjoyed it! I had some as a snack on the mini vacay that Wayne and I just took :)

Almonds are always a great snack that fills me up and lasts due to the protein in them :)

I have to admit that I was a little nervous to try this Lara bar.  I am not usually a fan of items with cherry in them.  I was really surprised that I liked this bar.  I am glad that Alexa sent 2 :)

I don’t know how she knew, but Alexa sent on of my favorite treats that I only let myself have about once a year!!  They are for sure not on my normal clean eating plan, but sometimes a little splurge is needed!  I was proud of myself for making these last 10 days! Hehe

The first item out of the box that Wayne reached for were these tasty snickerdoodles!  They were delish!  And free from the 8 common allergens so I could eat them with no concerns!  Yahoo!

And the Mango!  I am a huge fan of mango!  I was spoiled with eating fresh ones on my many ventures to Costa Rica over the years!  In my own trips to Trader Joe’s, I actually had not spotted these treats till one day last week!  I am sure they will be a staple soon in my own pantry :)   (I am pondering how to cover them in dark chocolate and have them as more of a dessert treat sometime!!!)

Justin’s Nut Butter is one item that I REALLY enjoy but hate paying the price for, so I especially love it when my FPPs send along some :)

Thank you again Alexa for such an amazing package!!!

If being a Foodie Pen Pal sounds like something YOU would like to get involved with, here is how it works!

-On the 5th of the month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treatsThe spending limit is $15The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you can choose to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
– Foodie Penpals is open to US, Canadian residents & UK residents.  Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We’ve determined things might get too slow and backed up if we’re trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa. So, I’m going to keep two separate lists and match US w/ US and Canada w/ Canada!

***If you’re in the UK, please contact Carol Anne from This Is Rock Salt at to get involved!

Have a blessed day!
